I don't know if it hurts or helps things that I'm woefully ignorant of most of these songs in their original formats. Greg Dulli is something of a mystery to me. When I connect with him - like ...As Played by the Twilight Singers - I'm entranced. Most other times, however, I'm at a lost. Mostly I just feel creeped out. And while that may be the intended effect, it doesn't make me want to listen to it again any sooner.
